Power is control. At least That's what Sevrin thought for the first half of his vampire existence. After being shamed by those stronger than him he selfishly locked himself away for three hundred years, closing his ears to the cries of his brothers and sisters all over the world.

Sevrin emerged from his shack only to be greeted by a deafening silence that was once his brothers and sisters and the propaganda machine that had the mortal population spellbound and brainwashed. He must find the remaining vampires and show them what he's learned so they can build up their numbers and take on the Slayers who have decimated their race.

Embarrassed by his defeat at the hands of the Rogue Slayer, Director Bishop intensifies the training of his Slayers and increases the patrols throughout Morrigan. What he doesn't know is that his enemies grow stronger every day, and their hunger for vengeance grows even more.

Sevrin and Orion have a plan to form the most vicious team of assassins ever trained, but will they be ready in the short time they have to train them? Torn between loyalty to his King and Fellow Vampires, and his own selfish desire for revenge, Sevrin must tread carefully. He knows too well that justice and vengeance walk a similar path, and one wrong step can bring the whole Kingdom crumbling down.

The Slayer Order and the vampires of Castle Carlcinni fight to show the people of Morrigan who the real enemy is. Are they the Vampires who have been labeled as monsters? Or are they monsters the very people who promise to serve and protect? Find out in Ascent From Chaos: Know Thy Enemy.

The Rogue is still out there, but there are more sinister things to worry about. A vicious killer known only as The Widow has claimed the lives of young men all over Morrigan. Like the Rogue, she only strikes at night. Is this a coincidence? The Slayers certainly think so.

Even more chilling are the guttural growls and piercing shrieks that echo from Morrigan's surrounding forest, and The Bidden, the mysteriously placed forest in the heart of Morrigan. Legend has it that nothing comes out of that forest. Ever.

Thanks to Sevrin and Orion's tutelage, The Thirteen is ready. They venture out to not only save the few starving members of their community, but also to strike at the Slayers. However, an old ally joins the fray against their fallen brothers and sisters.

Meanwhile, as Sevrin treats Jillie to a night out at a posh restaurant, his disinformation campaign lures Director Bishop away from Morrigan and into a confrontation with famed vampire author, James Lefay.  With the director out of town, The Thirteen make their presence known with a gruesome message.

Don't fear the Slayers. Don't fear the vampires. Fear The Unlucky 13.
